Can you please put an appeal in your newsletter to help us find volunteer drivers?

“Want to be entertained and earn your gas money costs while doing a good deed? Seniors Assisted Transportation Society of Greater Edmonton or SATS has been giving volunteer outreach rides since 2001. We now reimburse Volunteer Drivers for gas money of $10.00 to $20.00 for a volunteer driver’s trip. What we do is help walking older seniors Monday to Friday, get to their important appointments at a cost of a return average trip of $7.00 each. These older seniors, are unable to drive or take public transportation because of health concerns and whom cannot afford taxi’s because of limited income! As a volunteer driver, vehicle insurance is not an extra cost or concern as everyone’s volunteer driving is covered under every person’s vehicle insurance policy and we have the letters from the Insurance Bureau of Canada to show you! Plus we top your insurance coverage up with a $ 5,000,000.00 non-owned automobile insurance coverage at our non-profit charity! We will do a security clearance and a drivers’ abstract, at SATS costs.
